We spent this Sunday nicely relaxed with our humpbacks out in the fjord. Even the whales seemed to feel the spirit of a lazy Sunday, because we found a lot of them just floating underneath the water surface and resting. If a whale is resting it is always really handy for us whale watchers being able to come close to the whales and being able to see their full body length under the water. These humpbacks surely are large and impressive cetaceans. On this tour we saw 7 whales up close and a few more blows a bit further out. We all had an experience of a special kind when we got whale-breath blown in our faces. It was a bit of a fishy but very unique and funny experience. After about 2 hours it was time for us to head back. We had a very nice Sunday afternoon under a cloudy, but dry sky.
