It was a slightly chilly day as we sailed out into the fjord but this only gave us the opportunity to use the wonderfully warm overalls we have onboard. After sailing for only 25 minutes a humpback was spotted in the near distance. It surfaced a few times before going for a longer dive. As this animal was surfacing fairly irregularly it was decided to move out a bit further to see some other whales. After a bit more sailing a few harbour porpoises were spotted and then later another humpback which we like to call the dark knight. This humpback surfaced many times so everyone was able to get a lovely look at it. As we sailed back the sun broke through the cloud and were able to enjoy the beautiful Icelandic sun on the way home.
