The morning started of a little windy, which picked up during the day. Just a few miles south from Hjalteyri we found our first humpback whales. A pair relaxed and sleeping, we left these after a short time and found another pair also sleeping away, we were with these for maybe 20-30 minutes before searching the east coast. Later in the day they became a bit more active, feeding and moved more to the north past Hjalteyri. The weather could have been better but the whales were as always great to watch,
