The overcast weather and strong winds were not very attracting over Akureyri's sky today, but once again the whales of Eyjafjordur proved us that bad weather doesn't mean bad whale watching tours. Throughout the day we have seen about ten different individuals of humpback whales between Akureyri and Hialteri! Some of them were new animals we had never see in the fjord so far this season and others were well known regulars like our beloved Awesome Fluker. As if it wasn't good enough to see that many humpback whales, sometimes quite close to the city, we also had the very rare chance of watching a Minke whale breach several time close to our boat! Another day like no other in Eyjafjordur.
