A picturesque day out on the fjord today. Snowflakes were falling throughout the tour giving a wonderful Christmassy feeling to the tour. The fjord was flat and there was no wind so sailing was rather pleasant despite the cold. South of Hjalteyri we found not one but two humpback whales who were surfacing just wonderfully. When one went for a dive, after about a minute or so the other one popped up so we didn’t have to wait hardly any time at all. Throughout the tour some beautiful little harbour porpoises were also popping up which was very delightful. One of the whales we recognized as “Cosmos” and the other is new to the fjord. Yet another beautiful day to sail.
