What a stunning day in the fjord! Today we had amazing weather and dream sailing conditions through out the whole day! In the morning we went out on two tours and both tours enjoyed the company of a Humpback whale on the east side of Hrisey Island. The whale was very relaxed and frequently coming to the surface so we had many opportunities to observe him. On the way back we spotted another cetacean which was a Minke whale! We didn’t stay long with him this time as he was actively feeding and travelling far distances. The afternoon tours have also seen a Humpback and a Minke whale. Last tour of the day was a midnight sun where we enjoyed the beatiful scenery of the fjord in the sunset and the same Humpback whale as in the morning, this time feeding so we’ve seen it a lot of times.
