Good afternoon! The conditions in our fjord were great today, we had flat sea and only very little wind. The sun was even shining during all of our tours!
On our morning tour, we only had to sail out to Hjalteyri, where we spotted the first blows. It was like a whale party there! We had close encounters with several Humpback Whales and saw four of them swimming together. It was absolutely incredible, we saw at least 10 whales close up and more blows all around in the area.
The afternoon tour was an equally amazing experience. We encountered 10 to 15 Humpback Whales in the same area as we did in the morning, there were blows all around, no matter where we looked! We had fantastic encounters with the four Humpback Whales swimming together, they for example repeatedly kept resurfacing very close to our RIB boat. Unbelievable!
