What a day!! The whale festival continues in the fjord! We went out in a perfect weather - clear sky and flat seas and it took us 30 min to find ourselves in the area full of wildlife! We identified 9 Humpback whales and seen at least several more from the distance just by Hjalteyri and Green buoy. Few of our regulars - Arheta Frankfin and Iskona, kept us company for a while until we sailed out a bit further and closer to the east side of the fjord where we were surrounded by 3 Minke whales! At this point we thought this can’t go any better but Arheta Frankfin decided to show off and on our way back south we stopped and were approached by 2 Humpback whales that came to the surface right next to our bout! Front line passengers were just 4-5m away from the whales and everyone on board was so touched by this experience we decided to stay for one more encounter. AMAZING DAY.
