Freezing temperatures below -10 degrees Celsius, a bright blue sky and crisp winter air marked today´s tour in February. Getting out of the frozen harbor was quite a challenge for our little boat Konsull. However, our experienced captain navigated the ice skillfully so that we could actually enjoy the spectacle. After we made our way out in the fjord we loved the sight of wintry Eyjafjörður and searched for cetaceans all the way to the entrance of the fjord. When we turned towards the East, a strong wind developed but that did not stop us from looking further. Unfortunately, today our bravery was not rewarded and we did not find any cetaceans. Tomorrow is a new day and we will be there to search for the whales.
