Hállo! The North Atlantic was fiercely making its way into Eyjafjörður this morning, but the sun was shinning bright and we just knew that, if we sailed out early enough, it would be a whale finding day. It actually turned out to be a breaching-whale finding day! The northern swell just made it all much more exciting. Just between Svalbarðseyri and Hjalteyri, we found three different humpback whales! One of them breached 3 times between tail slaps, and just blew the crew’s and the passenger’s minds - unforgettable moment. The next best thing after the breaching whale was the sight of a few arctic terns - welcome back home! You were missed.
