Hello everyone! So the good weather is finally making its way back to Akureyri. Today we had nice sunny tours with barely wind and nice flat sea in Eyjafjörður. with this super nice conditions it was very easy to spot the animals and so we were able to see from quite far away the first blow. Once arrived in the area, we turned out to be surrounded by whales!! We had 3 Humpback whales very calmly feeding around us but after a while we were also joined by 2 Minke whales also feeding on the area. And it was the nicest thing, since we were even able to see the Humpback feeding with their under jaw fully expanded! It was like a food fest, with the humpbacks going up and down and even on the side! But not only the whales were having a feast but also the Arctic terns who were following the whales around.
