Hállo! Did we happen to fall asleep and wake up 6 months later?! Well, actually no, but it turns out that Icelandic summer can be a tricky, funny thing. This morning Akureyri turned up dressed up in all white. But worry not, fellow readers, we still sailed out and found whales. All tours were very special today, as we marveled at the sight of three different humpback whales under the falling snow. They appeared to be feeding in the area, just before Hjalteyri. There was almost something poetic about it, listening to their blows and watching their mindful movements amidst the nothingness of our freezing surroundings. We were even so lucky as to spot one of them breaching on the last tour of the day. We are definitely going home feeling blessed!
