Hello all! Yet another beautiful sunny day in Akureyri, and we can’t get enough of the warm feeling, the bright landscapes and, of course, of the whales glittering under the sun. So even though we had to sail a bit further north than we have gotten used to during this last month, we wouldn’t have it another way. Just before Hjalteyri, we had the most beautiful encounter with Shalom, one of our dear Eyjafjörður’s humpback whales. This particular individual appeared to be feeding close to the surface, coming up for one or two breaths and then leaving us marveled at the sight of the fluke. We live for days like this!
