Good afternoon everyone! We were extremely lucky with the weather this morning, a little wind but lots of sun! The wind picked up a bit during our afternoon tour and it even rained for a very brief moment, so it was just a typical Icelandic summer day here in the fjord!
We sailed out on Eyjafjörður and encountered several pods of Harbour Porpoises on our way, together with our regular birdlife of Arctic Terns and Northern Fulmars, just to name a few examples.
Just when passing Hjalteyri, we spotted a Minke Whale! It repeatedly came up to the water surface to breathe and stuck around in the area for a while. It was beautiful to see and we are looking forward to our tours tomorrow!
