Another beautiful day out on Eyjafjörður! When we sailed out on the morning tours, the clouds were hanging very low in the mountains, but in the afternoon the sky cleared up and the sun came out.
We had several amazing Humpback Whale encounters today. And on the way to the whales we even saw Puffins and a huge swarm of feeding Arctic Terns in our favorite fjord.
In the morning we spotted three different Humpback Whales and on our afternoon tours, we saw two of them again. They put on quite a show for us as well! We saw big splashes from tail slapping, there were two breaches and one Humpback Whale really checked out our boat and surfaced less than two meters away from it!
So we truly had stunning encounters on our tours today and are excited to see what tomorrow will bring!
