Good afternoon! We sailed out onto Eyjafjörður today in windy but overall good conditions. On our way north we encountered a few pods of Harbor Porpoises as well as a handful of Puffins. It is very exciting that we seem to see Puffins quickly flying past our boats more and more often now in our beautiful fjord! We spotted a Humpback Whale northeast of Hrísey, which is the second biggest island in all of Iceland. This particular Humpback Whale seemed to like our RIB boat as it resurfaced right in front of our small boat a few times in a row! On our afternoon tour we saw three different Humpback Whales and four White-beaked Dolphins!
It was very good to be out on the fjord and to see our beloved whales today!
