Hello everyone! Today we started the tours with a flat calm sea and the sun shining in Eyjafjörður. Close to the town of Hjalteyri we encountered a group of harbour porpoises feeding actively together with Artic terns. We were about to leave them and keep sailing to look for more species when a Minke whale popped out in front of us! You know, minkies tend to be quite shy but we could see it for few times before it disappeared in the distance. On our way north, we also came across to a pod of White beaked dolphins that came very close to us for a bit, and not too far, the first blow from a Humpback whale showed up, we slowly approached to her and we got to see it very well. In the afternoon tours, the wind started increase but the sailing was still nice, we could see many birds like fulmars, black and common guillemots, artic terns...and yes! Whales too, we have seen some humpback whales and one of her was one that we know very well, our lovely humpbi 'zebra', she was very actively showing her fluke. What an amazing day in Eyjafjörður 2 Humpies, a Minke, White-backed dolphins and Porpoises!
