It was a cold and windy day today and our passengers really had to find their sea legs as it was very choppy in the fjord. Luckily, most of our passengers enjoyed this Icelandic roller coaster. On the first tour we encountered a Minke Whale and a Humpback whale. The Humpback whale was far north, so we had to sail to Hrisey for this encounter. The animal was resting, only surfacing once in a while and not taking dives for most of the encounter. In the afternoon we took the same trip to Hrisey and encountered the same Humpback whale, however, it had woken up and now dove several times and showed us its beautiful tail. During the 17u tour we did not have to sail quite so far out, as we already encountered a Humpback whale close to Hjalteyri. This individual was also resting, only coming up once in a while but in the end it woke up and showed us its flukes.
