Good afternoon everybody! What an AMAZING day for us! On all of our tours we spotted the Northern Bottlenose Whales from yesterday again in Pollurinn this morning before even starting our tours! The weather conditions were great in the morning, there was little wind and the sea was flat. But in the afternoon, the wind picked up a bit. We were able to see a Humpback Whale south of Hrísey on our Classic tours today. And we had unbelievable encounters with the three Northern Bottlenose Whales on our Express tours as they approached our boat several times, swimming around us and coming as close as two meters! The whales were up on the surface for more than 20 minutes at some point and we were able to have a super good and close look at them.
We are curious to see if they stay around longer and if we will be able to see them again in the next days - we can’t wait to find out!
