Good afternoon! What a whale party in Eyjafjörður today! We sailed out this morning in great weather conditions, the sea was completely flat and even though it was a little colder today, the sun was shining all day. We spotted three Humpback Whales just north of Hjalteyri, that kept resurfacing in the same area around us. Additionally, we were able to see more blows further north in the distance.
In the afternoon, the wind picked up a little bit, but the conditions were still very good. We saw three Humpback Whales in the same area. This time, two of them were different whales from the morning tour though, so in total we saw five different Humpback Whales on our tours today!! What a beautiful day with plenty of whale encounters near and far all around us. It was sometimes even difficult to decide where to look!
