Hello everyone, what a full of humpback whales fjord we have had today!. In the morning, we started sailing on a sunny and not very cold day, with good sea conditions as well. In the harbour area we spotted the two Northern bottlenose whales we are seeing these days, after leaving them we didn’t need to go very far because just south Hjalteyri we found our first humpback whales of the day, 2 humpback whales swimming quite close to each other, after a while with them we decided to go a bit north with the aim of looking for more wildlife. Luckily, we didn’t need to go that far because between the towns of Hjalteyri and Hauganes we had 3 more humpback whales. In the afternoon, the northern bottlenose whales were still in the area and after enjoying them for a bit, we went to the same area of this morning and although the waves increased and looking for whales became a bit more tricky, we found 3 humpback whales, one of them was showing itself very acrobatic performing fluke slaps for quite long. We had a great day in Eyjafjörður today!
