Good evening! Today we sailed out in mostly calm, but colder conditions. Later in the afternoon, we even had lots of sunshine on our faces!
On our tours, we saw the pod of Northern Bottlenose Whales again in Pollurinn in the morning as well as just outside of Akureyri by TDK in the afternoon. North of Hjalteyri, we encountered a Humpback Whale, which kept resurfacing around our boats repeatedly. The RIB boat had some amazing and extremely close encounters with this individual! In the afternoon, we also briefly saw a Minke Whale just north of Hjalteyri.
We are excited to sail out again tomorrow!
