Good afternoon everybody, despite having foggy weather conditions, we managed to have good sightings this Saturday. In the morning the fog was very dense and it was almost a bit spooky but we managed to find 4 different individuals of Humpback whale. 2 of the animals were close to Rauðavík and 2 South of Hrisey.
In the afternoon we encountered two of the Humpback whales again.
We also have same very sad news, in the morning we encountered the group of 3 Northern bottlenose whales. The female that has been doing bad since the group arrived seemed weaker today and in the afternoon she passed away. We wonder how the other two are and whether they will stay in the fjord or decide to leave now, but we will find out over the next days.
