Hello everyone! Today we started sailing along a foggy fjord but with very calm and mirror like sea. All of you know already that we don’t use any type of electronic device and any sonar to look for the whales, we use our eyes and help us with some binoculars, but today due to the fog looking for whales was a bit more difficult. So, any help when looking for cetaceans is always welcome and that is why we are always in touch with other boats in the fjord. We’ve got the message that we had some whales south Hrisey and as soon as we arrived to the area, one by one and up to 5 different Humpback whales came out all around, luckily the fog began to dissipate allowing us to see the whales perfectly. In the afternoon trip all the way to the ‘morning spot’ was sunny and very nice but when we arrived, the fog was still there, however we were very lucky again, specially with the last two humpbacks that popped up very close to us. What a fun day at sea!
