Today, we had another very nice and calm day in our fjord with cold but good weather conditions and sunshine! Today was also the last RIB tour of this year and it was a stunning day for it!
Again, we did not have to sail too far out and spotted plenty of blows around Hjalteyri! In this area, we encountered at least ten different Humpback Whales! They could be seen in all directions and we often had several of them at the surface at the same time.
Additionally, we saw two Minke Whales today, one just south of Hjalteyri and the other one by Svalbarðseyri.
With both species, the Minke and the Humpback Whales, we had several very close encounters!
As the days are getting shorter now, we also got to see a beautiful sunrise on the morning tour, it was a great day on the water once again!
