WOW! This was an absolutely fantastic tour. We sailed out with a little wind here in our fjord today, but overall we had good conditions.
We encountered the first whales just outside of Hjalteyri. We spotted several blows, which belonged to three Humpback Whales! They were calmly resurfacing when we spotted two more blows in the distance north of us. As we watched the first three whales, the other two came closer and closer. Eventually, we had five Humpback Whales just by our boat! They were still swimming in those two groups, but we never had to wait long for either of the two groups to resurface. At some point of the tour the two Humpbacks, which were swimming together in a pair, were even feeding and we saw a pec slap. It was fantastic to see these different behaviors. It was super special and when they all resurfaced at the same time, it was difficult to decide where to look! What an unforgettable tour with plenty of amazing encounters with these five Humpback Whales!
