Despite the difficult beginning of windy morning in the fjord we had an incredible day. We enjoyed the company of a very relaxed Humpback whale around Hjalteyri. We sailed out today both in the morning and in the afternoon - the morning tour had not the greatest visibility and we only found the whale on our way back! In the afternoon the sea was still a bit rough but knowing where to aim, it took us not more than 40min to find the whale again. The sky was cloudy but we enjoyed rays of sunshine towards the end. The whale was active and feeding and one time we had an incredibly close encounter when he popped up just in front of the boat. On our way back we also spotted some Harbour Porpoises. We can’t wait to go out there tomorrow!
