Good afternoon! We had a sunny, cold day today with great sailing conditions!
During all of our tours today, we spotted two different Humpback Whales just outside of Svalbarðseyri. We even got to watch them feed and had a number of great, up close encounters with them!
On our morning tour, we also spotted plenty of Harbour Porpoises in different locations in Eyjafjörður. We even had an exceptional encounter with them, they swam extremely close to our boat north of the green buoy and they kept resurfacing around us! Incredible! This is super rare and we got to watch them unbelievably well!
While we watched the Harbour Porpoises, we spotted a Minke Whale as well a bit further north of us.
This was another beautiful day, on which we encountered all three of our most common cetaceans as well as plenty of birds here in Eyjafjörður!
