Hello everyone! Due to bad weather conditions, we have canceled our morning tours. However, the wind gave us a small break and we were able to be sailing in the afternoon. We spotted a Minke whale by Svalbarðseyri and some groups of Harbour porpoises, but the wind increased so we couldn’t go further out. On the way back we were able to spot again the same minke and some more harbour porpoises feeding together with kittiwakes by the hot spring waterfall. Regarding the birdlife, it was very interesting today, as we could see northern gannets, kittiwakes, common and black guillemots, northern fulmars, long-tailed duck, and red-throated loon. Although it seems that winter does not want to leave us yet, tomorrow we hope to have better weather and keep enjoying the wildlife of Eyjafjörður.
