Hi everyone! This morning we enjoyed a sunny weather and mirror like sea that allowed us to spot few harbour porpoises when we were sailing north in search of some larger animals, and different species of seabirds, among them our lovely puffins! Then by Grenivík we spotted a friendly Minke whale that was surfacing very nice and close to our boat. In the afternoon it was still sunny but the wind decided to come back, so we sailed out on a rougher sea. The whales made us sail further this time and we had to go all the way north until Ólafsfjörðurmúla, but it is never a problem since we were able to enjoy the spectacular landscape that Eyjafjörður offers us. There we spotted a Humpback whale, raising the fluke very high every time it went for a deep dive, so braving the waves was totally worth it. On the way back again some Harbour porpoises popped up.
