Hello everyone,
today we had great sunny weather in the morning and also a very calm sea level. We saw harbor porpoises on the way to the whales. And then a big splash..and another...just a few meters from us, a humpback whale jumped several times. It was amazing to see this whale in all its beauty so close. Then it turned on her side and gave us a nice wave with its big white fin. Did you know that humpback whales have the longest pectoral fins of any species of cetacean and the longest appendages of any living animal on land or in the sea. ? It's amazing, isn't it? and we had the opportunity to see them up close today. Then our whale disappeared under the surface for a moment, rested and performed another amazing jump in front of our other ship, which had just arrived. As if it wanted to show off in front of all our guests:-}Also in the afternoon we were lucky to see a whale. We saw another humpback whale which surfacing many times. I think, she found tasty fish near us and the surface, that's why we had the opportunity to see it several times. On our way to and from the whales we also saw many harbor porpoises and one right in front of our boat. We also saw birds like Black guillemot, Fulmar or Artic Terns. A wonderful day full of surprises. I'm already looking forward to another day with our beautiful whales
