Good evening,
We sailed out with low clouds in a very calm Eyjafjörður and we were of course able to spot whales!
During the morning tours, we encountered Harbour Porpoises, plenty of birds such as Puffins and two different Humpback Whales east and northeast of Hrísey!
In the afternoon, we spotted a total of three Humpback Whales east of our fjord’s island. Two of them were the same whales, which we encountered in the morning. We had beautiful encounters with the Humpbacks coming up for their breaths right next to our boats! This was unbelievably close!!! We also got to experience a spy hopping Humpback.
Our day was wonderful and we enjoyed it to the fullest!
