Good evening! We sailed out in a calm fjord with great sailing conditions!
During the morning tour, we spotted three different Humpback Whales east of Hrísey and Harbour Porpoises along the way.
In the afternoon, we encountered a total of four Humpbacks! One of them was not seen during our morning tour. We spotted three of these whales east of our fjord’s island and one more on the way back to Akureyri. This one just came up for a breath outside of Grenivík. What a surprise!
We had fantastic encounters and even got to see a head slap of a Humpback Whale! We really had an incredible day!
