We had a beautifully calm day in Eyjafjörður today!
We sailed out today and spotted one Humpback Whale south of Hjalteyri! This was very exciting, as we really didn’t have to sail out far to spot the first blows!
During the morning tours, we witnessed sleeping behavior of the Humpback, which just came up for breaths very calmly around us. We encountered the same Humpback Whale on our afternoon tours and even had really nice, close encounters with it!
In the afternoon, we also spotted a Minke Whale south of Hjalteyri as well as plenty of different birds, such as Northern Fulmars, throughout the whole day.
We are excited to sail out again tomorrow!
