Hi,
Day started off pretty nice, sailed out with some minor wind but it wasn´t long before our first encounter. Just past the green buoy we found 2 Humpback Whales, one of which we have seen countless times this summer. People were saying it was small but I think it´s pretty average…The other, slightly larger. There was also a third in this area on the 0900 o´clock tour, however, by 11 this guy hit the road. On our afternoon tours we were unable to find these guys unfortunately, but instead we were treated to an afternoon with the infamous Bumpback whale. It´s becoming a fan favorite. The fish finder showed a dense layer or what looked like Krill about 30m thick down at the bottom and our bumpback was loving it coming up right next to us countless times. We didn´t have to move at all and for this reason I absolutely loved this tour.
In a nutshell, we went out and saw some whales. That´s the basic gist.
