Today we sailed out from Akureyri having great sea conditions but a large amount of sea fog. The sea was flat up all the way until Hjalteyri with minimal wind. Past this point, there was a significant swell.

All tours throughout the day traveled quite far north, to the northern point of Hrisey Island. We saw many Humpback Whales, approximately at least over 20. There were two groups of 4 which later merged to make a group of 8 whales. although the highest density of wildlife was around Hrisey, we could see there were whales stretching from this point all the way to the south (green buoy). We encountered also one Minky Whale on the morning tour by Hjalteyri.
