The weather conditions were good today with a bit of wind further out. It started snowing towards the end of our tour.
We spotted the two Humpback Whales Jóli and Honza again in Pollurinn, just moments after leaving the harbor! They were actively feeding, surfacing extremely frequently and lunge feeding close to us!
Our highlight of today’s tour was when we were waiting for the Humpbacks to resurface during one of their deeper dives, when we spotted a lot of small fish jumping out of the water right in front of our boat. Just seconds after seeing the fish, the two Humpback Whales surfaced only a few meters in front of us, lunge feeding!!! What an exciting sight! It was just stunning.
We sailed further out after spending some time with the Humpbacks, continuing our search and spotted birds along the way before returning to Pollurinn, where we encountered both Humpback Whales again for a while before heading back into the harbor.
This was definitely a tour to remember!
