The sun is out for a few hours to lighten up our day, and nearly windless conditions and some breathtaking landscapes are on offer. It is looking very wintery as the new unexpected snow is sticking around. It is definitely good to layer up for this so you can stay nice and warm and enjoy the natural habitat of our giant friends.
We got past the Green Buoy to find an exhilarating feeding frenzy of Harbour Porpoises under a large flock of birds. Then we noticed a bigger dorsal fin joining this show. A Minke Whale entered to get the most out of it. It was a really special encounter there, we left shortly to see some more action further North and we found 3 Humpback Whales Southeast of Hjalteyri. It was magical to see them up close.
