Temperatures today are higher than recently but certainly still chilly. Not cold enough for us to embrace it though. We have a moderate breeze from the south today, creating some tiny waves. The morning was overcast and it started to open up in the afternoon, but at the end of our second tour we got a little wet from above due to light rain.
Throughout all our tours we encountered countless Humpback Whales, probably around 20. It really is a challenge to count all these whales while you’re there, because no matter where you look, there will be a whale. All of them nicely feeding in Raudavik. It was really hard to not see a whale today. We also saw some Harbour Porpoises and a Minke Whale around the green Buoy and Hjalteyri.
Lots of our guides have been waiting for this time of the year when loads of Humpbacks assemble in the fjord, and now they’re here. One of the best times of the year regarding Whales has started.
