Another cold day in Eyjafjörður! But the weather conditions were very good and calm while we sailed out into an icy fjord.
On our tour, we spotted two Humpbacks north of Hjalteyri! At first, they were moving a lot during their deep dives, but would always resurface together. After observing them for a few breathing sequences, they stayed more in one area and even started spy hopping! Almost, as if they got a bit playful around the ice sheets on the water surface. Incredible to be able to watch this behaviour! We could see them exhale underwater, blowing air bubbles, clearing the ice before coming up for a breath at the surface!
We cannot wait to sail out again tomorrow and are excited to see what the next tours bring!
