Today, we had good weather conditions with very little wind. It was another cold day, but we had good visibility and overall sailing conditions!
Again, we encountered Piccolo, one of our star Humpback Whales, which regularly returns to Eyjafjörður every year!
Today, we spotted this Humpback just outside of Hjalteyri! We had beautiful encounters with Piccolo coming up to breathe regularly every 5 to 6 minutes, sometimes closer, sometimes a bit further away from us. But the whale stayed in a similar area outside of Hjalteyri, while we observed it during our tour.
We had a great tour and are always excited when we get to encounter Piccolo here in our fjord!
