Today started with super glassy conditions in Akureyri with clouds hanging all over the fjord. It was very calm throughout the whole tour. As we sailed further north, the swell picket up a little.
As soon as we reached the souther tip of Hrisey, we slowed down to have a better chance of spotting anything at the surface. And guess what, it paid off. Just behind our boat a Humpback Whale popped up. So far we are unfamiliar with this one, maybe he’s been in our Eyjafjördur before, maybe not. But he is a showoff. Spends good time at the surface and goes for really beautiful deep dives.
