We had a gorgeous, calm day in Eyjafjörður today! A little wind further out and great sailing conditions in general, even the sun came out.
On our tours today, we were able to spot two different Humpback Whales, both east of the island of Hrísey!
We had wonderful encounters with them. In the afternoon for example, one of the Humpbacks kept resurfacing right by our boat. It was only meters away from us! Such a fantastic experience.
We got to spend time watching the calm whales coming up for their breaths in amazement. They resurfaced quite frequently, not letting us wait for too long in between the surfacing frequencies.
We cannot wait to sail out again tomorrow!
