Today was excellent in any way… well, it could ave been a little less breezy and warmer. Yet, the show we got to witness was something we haven’t seen in a long time.
Starting an easy cruise from the harbour, looking out for the whales we have been seeing for the past weeks. And there they are, just south west of Svalbardseyri the 2 Humpbacks were feeding away from the ice that has built up in the harbour. It didn’t take Joli long to put on a show. He was tail throwing about ten times during this tour, even after we’ve left the two, he did it two more times. Literally 50 m from our boat. Absolutely spectacular and the cold was forgotten immediately. To see this about a dozen times was truly amazing and I’m sure no one will forget this experience.
