We sailed out in good overall weather conditions with a little bit of a swell.
Today, we sailed out a bit further than we did in recent days before spotting a cetacean. We encountered one Humpback Whale north of Hjalteyri. This whale was very calm and showed resting behavior, resurfacing frequently close to us, slowly heading south. It was Honza, one of the fantastic Humpbacks, which we have recently spotted here in Eyjafjörður.
We got to experience plenty of encounters with this Humpback Whale. We watched it resurface and we were even able to spot the dark body of the whale as well as the white flippers underwater, when it was diving close to the surface in between the breaths!
It was a beautiful tour and we are looking forward to our tour tomorrow!
