Whaletastic day on the fjörð!

We departed from the most sunny Akureyri, both for the morning and the afternoon tours. Although there was a significant increase in the wind and so did the waves during the afternoon, but that didn’t stop us from having amazing sightings the whole day!

And it was indeed amazing. Both during the morning and evening tours we had a total of 7 Humpback Whales between S Hjalteyri and the Green buoy. Some of them actively feeding some of them calmly swimming. But as you can see by the pictures we also had some pectoral fin show and some tail throwing!

As well as 1 sneaky Minke whale N Svalbarðseyri.

Definitely, today was a good day for joining us in our lovely Eyjafjörður.
