Whale hello there!

We had amazing weather in the fjord today! Completely flat water accompanied by blue skies from 09.00 to 20.00 o’clock.

And the sightings were equally amazing. During all tours, we saw multiple whales. During the morning, our rib tour had 6 Humpback whales actively feeding north of Hjalteyri, surrounded as well by 5 Minke whales. while our classic tour was watching 5 Humpback whales south of Hjalteyri calmly swimming around and at times approaching the boats so close, that you could see the whole whale beneath the surface!! Proving once again the fact that if you do not disturb the whales they will feel calm and possibly approach the boat! We even had a sneaky Minke whale surfacing in between the Humpbacks.

It was definitely a WHALETASTIC day to be in Eyjafjörður.
