A sunny day on Eyjafjordur!
The morning started off with gray skies but quickly, the clouds opened up and revealed blue sky and lots of sun! Around the time the sun came out, the whales did too! We started off seeing a few blows in the distance as we headed north towards Hjalteyri. As we approached, it was revealed to be more than 3— it was at least 5 whales, and possibly more as we lost count. We were then able to spend the whole morning tour in pretty much one spot, with our engines in neutral while Humpback Whales surfaced on all sides of us. There was no wrong direction to look! In the mix, there was also one Minke Whale, as well as a few Harbour Porpoises.
