We had another beautiful hot and sunny day here in Akureyri today. The sea conditions have also been in our favour and could not have been any better. The wind did eventually pick up slightly throughout the day but still very calm.
In our morning tours we encountered 2 Humpback whales far east of the green buoy, who we followed almost all the way to shore. After some time one of them fell asleep so we went to check out the other one, which has a really very white fluke, almost as if someone polished it.
In the afternoon we were surprised to find the whales where we commonly found them during the winter, which is just outside the fishing harbour. These 2 Humpback Whales have been a little less active but did roll on the side and one actually breached as well.
