Today we sailed on a cloudy fjord but a very flat sea. But as you may know whales don´t mind the weather, because we had some amazing surface feeding from our friend Piccolo the Humpback whale just SW of Svalbarðseyri. It was breath taking for more than 30 minutes it was leaping out of the water allowing us to see the baleen plates and the throat grooves!
As impressive as it was after a long while with Piccolo’s show, we sailed further North where we found N Svalbarðseyri a small pod of Harbour porpoises and 2 Minke whales nicely surfacing in front of us.
